Bus services operate on weekdays, and there is a shuttle service to Montecasino on weekends.
If you use the train within 1 hour: R7.00.
If you do not use the train within 1 hour: R20.00.
If you use the train within 1 hour: R1.00.
If you do not use the train within 1 hour: R14.00.
You need a valid Gautrain Gold Card with at least R20 available pay-as-you-go value in order to access the buses

Joburg Metrobus is the City's largest bus operator that covers many areas of Joburg. There are a number of bus services that operate around the Sandton area. These are below:

Minibus taxi services cover a lot of Joburg, and they are the preferred means of travel for most commuters.
The best way to catch a taxi is to go to the taxi rank inside Sandton Station. The taxi rank is integrated with the Gautrain station, making it very convenient to transfer to/from the train and Gautrain bus.
Please note that we currently do not have most minibus taxi information. The best way to find information is to ask at the taxi rank. We will add as much information as we can during the course of October.
Minibus taxis operate on a cash-only basis, please ensure that you have sufficient cash before taking a trip.
Within the Sandton precinct, there will be an ecomobile fleet available, please refer to the EcoMobility website for more information.
Private sector partners will be able to operate shuttle services which transport 8 or more passengers along the public transport loop.
A number of companies around Sandton operate private shuttles for their staff and/or visitors. The majority of these shuttles operate to and from the Gautrain station. They can be found outside the station at the drop-off zone.
All such services will remain operational during the course of the festival.
Shesha is a tuk-tuk service that operates mainly around Sandton and surrounding areas. To use the service, you need to call and book a tuk-tuk. The number to use is 0861 shesha (743 742), and the service is available between 06:30 and 21:00 every day.

There are a number of metered cabs that operate around Sandton. These will remain operational during the festival.
Uber operates in most of Johannesburg, and for those that prefer to catch an Uber, you can use their app to hail the service.
